What to Send

Samples

If you custom design your envelopes, postcards, or other mailers and you think the layout of your design may affect how we print addresses on your mailings, please come to talk to us first before its mass production. Make sure there is a minimum 4" X 1" empty space on your design for the mailing address.

Mailing lists

You can send us your mailing lists using any of the following methods:

  • YNet transfer (This is required for all periodical and standard mail.):
    • FTP (requires FTP software)
    • Novell login (requires an account to login into our file server)
    • E-mail (requires initial test-run)
  • Magnetic media:
    • ZIP diskette (100 MB)
  • Hard copy:
    • Self-adhesive labels
    • Cheshire (It is outsourced)

File format

We prefer dBase III/IV files, space delimited files, or fixed length files. ASCII delimited files, WordPerfect merge files, Excel files, Word files, and Paradox files are also acceptable. The data in these files cannot contain double quotes (").

If you use WordPerfect merge files, make sure they are PROPERLY formatted!

Example:

    Name{ENDFIELD}
    ADR1{ENDFIELD}
    ADR2{ENDFIELD}
    CITY, STATE, ZIP{ENDRECORD}
    {HARDPAGE}

  • A simulated address with the correct format:

    Isabell Ringing{ENDFIELD}
    1776 Liberty Way{ENDFIELD}
    Washington, DC 20258{ENDRECORD}
    {HPG}

All the file types above can help save us processing time, which means faster delivery. If you have any questions about file types, please call Raymond Chambers (x2-3365)
